Terms of Service

1. The service

csviser ("we", "us") provides a web-based tool for validating, cleaning, and transforming CSV files ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Your account

You must provide a valid email address and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload files containing illegal content or content you do not have the right to process
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or disrupt the Service
• Use the Service to process data in violation of applicable privacy laws (e.g. GDPR) — you remain the data controller for any personal data in your files
• Share your account credentials with others

4. Your data

You retain full ownership of any files you upload. By uploading a file, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process it solely to provide the Service to you. We do not claim any rights to your data beyond what is necessary to operate the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and process any file, including files containing personal data about third parties.

5. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• CSV transformations will produce correct results in all cases
• The Service will be available without interruption or error
• Uploaded files will never be lost due to technical failure

Always keep a copy of your original files before applying any transformations.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, csviser shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or corruption of files. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Account settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction where csviser operates.
